Kristina began her dance training at the Alda Heniss School of Classical Ballet at the age of 6. Ms Botica continued to study ballet for almost 20 years, successfully completing many examinations through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. She was given the opportunity to study under many talented instructors including Maud Huiskamp of the Dutch Ballet and Shirley Tetreau; former ballet teacher and mistress of the National Ballet of Canada. She was also a part of Alda Heniss' first team to travel to Europe and perform throughout Spain. Over the years Ms Botica expanded her studies to include lyrical, jazz and Latin dance, and is excited to begin this new chapter in her career.
Emily started dance at a young age and hasn’t stopped. From training at Peacock School of Dance in Fort Erie in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Musical Theater to graduating from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance, Emily has always pursed her love of dance and dance education. Emily is a fully certified teacher in Ballet and Modern through the Performing Arts Educators of Canada (PAEC) and is working towards her Tap certification. She is excited to be with At the Barre on this new adventure.
April began her dance training at a young age and quickly fell in love with the art form. She was enrolled in the pre-professional dance program at the Edmonton School of Ballet where she studied academics in the mornings and dance in the afternoons. April is a certified teacher of Margaret Flynn’s Junior Grades Ballet Syllabus and has completed 1 year of her Associate exam training with the Ceccheti Faculty. At the age of 21 April moved to Toronto to study at York University, where she completed 4 years of undergraduate study in the Faculty of Fine Arts with a major in Dance. She has been teaching in Edmonton and Toronto for over 8 years and hopes to keep sharing her knowledge and passion for dance for many years to come. April is excited to join the talented team of teachers with At the Barre.
